What are the benefits of hiring a professional photographer?

A professional photographer will be able to record your memories better than an amateur or a friend, simply because they will have more knowledge and experience. A professional photographer will be much more at ease with the stress of the wedding, and the traditions each wedding holds. Professional photographers also have the right equipment and the best training to use them. The price of hiring a professional photographer will more than pay for itself - remember that photos are the most important way to record the emotions, memories, and traditions of your wedding day; make sure they are the best they can be! Hire a professional who will produce results you love!

I have heard that sometimes when I speak with a photographer at a studio, I am not always guaranteed to have that photographer at my wedding. Will that be the case here? 

Absolutely not. I am the only photographer you will speak to, and I will be the one to do the work for you. What you see is what you get - no surprises!

How much time will you spend at my wedding? Are there additional costs if the events run later than expected? 

My philosophy is that I will take as many pictures as you allow me to take. That means that I will not limit you to a certain number of photographs, or hours that I will be available to you. I begin taking pictures when you want me to, and can stay until the very end of the wedding if necessary. And I can meet you where ever is most convenient for you - for instance, at the hairdresser, your home, or the church. My photography packages are not limited by how many pictures I take - I strongly believe that limiting the number of photographs taken such a special event can result in the loss of valuable memories. And your memories are important - don't let them slip away!

Where do you get your film processed? 

All photo processing is done through a professional developing service who digitally scans and analyzes each picture to ensure that there are no flaws, and to ensure the best final quality available. All enlargements will also be done through this company.

What kind of camera do you use? 

Each photographer is comfortable with different cameras and different equipment. I currently work with professional grade Nikon digital cameras. The digital cameras provide me with exceptional quality and also helps keep prices low since there is no additional cost of film and no unnecessary processing. Photos are also more easily accessible for distribution via the internet this way. In addition, I  also employ additional cameras, lenses, and filters  to enhance pictures and to get the best pictures possible.

Do you have your prices published, or do I need to make an appointment? 

I believe there shouldn't be surprises when it comes to the prices.  You can view the packages we are currently offering HERE.  Out of courtesy to our clients, we cannot provide discounts, but are very flexible with making exchanges within the packages, or provide you with a cost a la carte if you prefer. 

I see that you are now also advertising for videography. Can you tell me something about this? 

I have been fortunate to partner with the leading local videography company. We have worked together on numerous weddings and events, and have the same style of photography and the same professionalism. By working together, we are able to ensure that all of your memories are captured for your wedding day. Not only those portraits that are so important, but the movement of dancing, the memories of your childhood, and the words of advice from your friends and family.

I like black and white but I want some in color as well. Is this possible? 

Absolutely - I make sure black and white photographs, hand tinting, and color picture options are available to every customer. Whatever it is that you want for your event is yours.

When will I get my proofs, and will I be able to keep them? 

Proofs are made available within 3 weeks of the wedding or portrait sitting. All proofs come out of a professional printing company, and they do not say "Proof" or have any other water markings on them. All of our single-photographer packages offer these included in the packages, or could be added to any package with two photographers.   Additionally, now included in all packages is online viewing of all photographs for your convenience.  

What is the online viewing and couple's web page? 

In order to assist our brides and grooms with sharing their wedding photographs, we have included in each package online viewing and a couple's web site. This web site will include a private location for all wedding photographs to be posted, where all guests can log in, view, and order photographs if they like, eliminating the need for the bride and groom to handle any reorders. In addition, this website includes a guest book for people to sign, and after wedding information about the bride and the groom. The website is up for 90 days, and can be extended if desired. 

What about negatives? Will I be allowed to purchase those? 

I have recently added the digital negatives on a high resolution CD to many of the packages we offer. Click HERE for more details.

What kind of payments do you accept? 

We accept cash, check, and credit cards for payments. We can assist you with information on each type of payment.

I noticed that some of the packages include albums. What can you tell me about these and when will I receive mine?

What is a digital album?

Digital albums are the newest and greatest aspect of incorporating computers into photography. In a traditional album, an actual print was placed underneath a paper cover; with the digital album, the entire page is a professionally created print, reducing the risk of tearing the photograph or the cover, ensuring the entire page is safe from the elements and aging, and providing the client with innumerable options for designing. In digital albums, the client can include as many photographs, or as few, as they want, in any size, color, opacity, angle, or design as they like. The options really are endless! The panorama albums offer even more ability, as the print extends the entire length of the book, not just one side, so panorama photographs, larger photographs, and a collage of photographs are also available.

Who designs the album? Will I be able to see the final product before printing? 

We are happy to announce that we can offer you full and complete design for your album, free of any additional charge! This is done by our team of highly qualified and trained graphics designers, who specialize in arranging your album in an appealing, dramatic, and personalized way.  You will have the opportunity to go through the album and make any adjustments necessary prior to printing. We offer Traditional, Contemporary, Photojournalistic, and Trendy Modern designing styles available. Please contact us for more details on these. Or, if you choose, you may design it yourself and we will be happy to offer any guidance.  Once the album design has been approved, you will receive your completed album within 6 weeks, guaranteeing that you can share your album with family and friends quickly.

What if the package I choose has a different size or style album than what I'd really like?
